The Wabana Trust lands comprise over 50 acres of pristine forest land and nearly a mile of shoreline in the Mississippi River headwaters of northern Minnesota. The shore is critical fish and wildlife habitat. This photograph was taken near the spawning beds that comprise much of the shoreline. Fish do not spawn where there are docks, boat traffic and busy cottages.
